No particular thought went into putting together today’s ensemble. I just knew I wanted to wear jeans, still, but wasn’t feeling it for my skinnies.
Then I remembered I do have this short denim skirt (a flea market buy)…so I went with that, and paired it with a simple sky blue tank top from Zara’s kids section. Ok, entirely too informal for a Tuesday at the office.
So, I picked out this white half-trench peacoat from the back of my closet and put it on, just to cover things up and make it passable as
professional without trying too much.
Still, this seemed too informal though, so I opted for a little over the top accessories – this gold plated and crystal necklace from Liz Claiborne and my gold and blue drop earrings from Oliver Bonas.
I would have worn pumps, had I had one that matched my outfit (…note to self on that…) but I didn’t, so I went with my slingback dainty sandals with the bow detail on it from Seraphita.
And, really that’s all there is to it. Not that I’m not inspired to dress up. I just feel more like dressing down. I have my hair slicked back into a ponytail again though…I do that when I feel I’m entirely too dressed down.
Oh and I’m also using today my white BCBG bag to match my coat. I don’t use this often though. I like the shape and metal details, and the silvery white color, plus it is roomy, but it’s also like a black hole. Things go in, they don’t come out.
Took these photos using the “dynamic art” pre-setting in my camera. Just to add a little interesting feel to it. Well at least that’s what I’m hoping for

I really love your coat! So cute
Thanks!
I guess I forgot to mention that it’s from the kid’s section in Zara. That’s why the sleeves are a bit short…but I like it that way!
hahah, I hv loads of things from kid’s sections
Sometimes it’s just works better… or we’re still kids at heart
And size!
